WHAT IS NLP
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a performance psychology that helps us to understand how we manage our thoughts, feelings and behaviours. It helps us to re-organise these to change unwanted patterns and come up with our desired results.
We are pattern-making machines. These patterns, or programmes, can sometimes dominate our behaviour to the point where we can live and re-live unwanted events, thoughts or feelings. Have you ever asked yourself “why does this always happen to me?” or thought “same as always”? These are just two examples of the patterns we create and we have many that subtly give us direction in our lives.
NLP helps us to identify these blocks. It offers a wonderful way of changing habits into more resourceful states. It is efficient and amazingly simple. There is no need for lengthy, painful and complex interventions. We get to the point, help you to change and move on.
NLP is both an art and a science. It uses the three most significant ‘bits’ affecting our understanding of the world. In fact, it has been called the “user’s manual for your mind". NLP is a collection of creative, thoughtful and interactive methods that help people to understand and change unwanted behaviour, beliefs and patterns.

NLP explains why you do what you do. It gives you magical ways of understanding, accepting and changing your world.
So what are our three most significant 'bits'?
NEURO
This is about how we sense and process our thoughts.
LINGUISTIC
These are the language patterns we use to express ourselves.
PROGRAMMING
Refers to the internal 'coding' that we have, and it's influence on our everyday activities.
In understanding how information is processed, you develop extraordinary insight into the power of your beliefs and grow ways in which you can put yourself in the driver’s seat of your mind and your future.

NLP is an excellent tool for planning goals. A goal is simply a dream with added direction. Whilst the plan stays in your head little is achieved, but with focused attention anything is possible. If you can picture what you really want, identify the blocks that currently prevent you from achieving this and work toward removing them, your dream is absolutely achievable.
